User account control (Allow programs to run in Vista Resolved (Firewall settings))


How to stop Windows Vista from asking you to “Allow” an application to run whenever you launch that application.


  1. Click the “Start” button
  2. Click on “Control Panel”
  3. Double-Click on “Security”
  4. Click on “Windows Firewall”
  5. In the left pane, click “Allow a program through Windows Firewall”. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation
  6. Select the check box next to the program you want to allow, and then click OK
